Homecoming Tailgate layout
Here is the new layout of Tailgate City. Please pay close attention to the layout. I don't want anyone having difficulty finding our tent. We will be in tent #17. This tent is in the back (close to the pavillion parking lot). I believe the tent is black and white striped.

Dressing up Recruitment
These days recruitment is so different than the way most of us remember it. ASU's campus has adopted the "no frills" motto to describe recruitment. That means no over the top decorations or themes or skit night. It's been an adjustment but the girls have been pushing through. This year the girls are able to have (4) 4'x6' brag boards in the suite and one in the hallway. They have picked out beautiful fabric to cover the boards in and have added some fun details as well. They are so cute and classy that I thought I might share them with you.
This is the design for the hand fans. In the past the potential new members where just given a sheet of paper with the expenses printed on it. (Very Boring)
Since it is always extrememly HOT in the suite during recruitment the girls have come up with the fabulous idea of the hand fans with information printed on them. So cute, just had to share with you all.
This is the design for the water bottle labels. The girls will be passing out bottled water on Information Night and Preference Night. (Coca-Cola on Philanthropy Night)

Money and Food needed for Recruitment
Fall recruitment 2010 is fast approaching. This year will be a little bit different than years in the past. There will be two nights of "Information Night" instead of one. Thursday, September 9th and Friday, September 10th are "Info Nights". Saturday, September 11th is "Philanthropy Night". Sunday, September 12th is "Preference Night". Bid Day will be Monday, September 13th.
The alumnae chapter is in need of funds to supply the girls with food and drinks for the week of recruitment. We normally supply dinner for Information Night and Philanthropy Night as well as lunch for Philanthropy Night. We also try to supply soft drinks and water for the entire week. As many of you know, the suite gets incredibly hot so we try our best to keep the girls hydrated.
If you are able to donate anything (money, food, drinks, mints, etc.) please let me know. You can call me at (870) 930-7584 or email me at linzburnett@hotmail.com.
You can make checks out to Lindsay Burnett (I will purchase drinks and food with your donations).

Leadership Institute
Hello all,
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. This past weekend I attended the AOII Leadership Institute in Franklin, TN. I was joined by collegians Ashlyn Kohler (Chapter President) and Rainey Rogers (Chapter Treasurer). The sessions were very enjoyable and of course the shopping in Nashville wasn't too bad either. The Jonesboro Alumnae Chapter received the Ruby Award (HIGHEST AWARD) and the Collegiate Chapter received the Pearl Award (2nd Highest).
Thank you all for being such wonderful alumnae and helping us achieve this prestigious award.
Roses,
Lindsay Harmon Burnett

Senior Induction....Mad Hatter style!
Thank you to all the alumnae that attended the April 19th Mad Hatter Tea Party. It was a huge success and we inducted 10 seniors into the alumnae chapter. Sadly we were unable to induct the other 4 seniors due to scheduling conflicts. The seniors who were inducted are Erica Dewitt, Caitlin Maki, Lauren Gaines, Emily Whitmire, Jocelynn Soenksen, Claire Ramsey, Jessica Carney, Lindsey Hawkins, Breanna Buck and Mackenzie Sims.
Special Alumnae Initiation
On April 17, 2010, 3 wonderful women were initiated into Alpha Omicron Pi's Sigma Omicron Chapter. These women were initiated as alumnae. Debbie Corbatto, Emily Nolan & Beverly Beck are the newest sisters of our Sigma Omicron Chapter. All 3 of these women are family members of Charlotte Beck. Debbie is Charlotte's daughter, Emily is her granddaughter and Beverly is her daughter-in-law. Rosalie Barber has graciously sponsored these women and dedicated her time for membership education.
Alpha Omicron Pi is proud to be one of the few NPC Greek organizations to encourage the initiation of Alumnae Initiates. Women of good character who share our purpose and philosophy and who will support the Object of the Fraternity may be invited into membership in our Fraternity. We offer women of various ages and situations the opportunity for membership as Alumnae Initiates. They may be female friends or relatives of an alumna or collegian; former colony members and collegians who pledged into an AOII collegiate chapter, but were never initiated; or women who are interested in mentoring and working with young women. Alumnae Initiates enjoy full privileges of alumnae membership. They may serve the Fraternity in any capacity and are expected to be participating alumnae by choosing an avenue of involvement suited to them – joining an alumnae chapter, becoming a Life Loyal AOII member, working with a collegiate chapter, etc.

Alumnae Goals & Totals for 09-10
Thank you so much to everyone for paying their dues. This year we increased our paying alumnae total from 21 to 35. Way to go!
We also succeeded in many other aspects of our goals. Every month the Jonesboro alumnae chapter held a meeting/event to encourage membership and involvement. We also participated in a philanthropy event with our collegiate chapter by raising money for a local St. Jude patient. I'm so proud of everyone that helped out.
I look forward to meeting more goals in the future and improving our already wonderful alumnae chapter.
Roses,
Lindsay
